You have probably seen the Decal art on Pendants and fused glass jewelry. It can be exquisite and interesting and a whole new way to exercise your creative side. I do standard jewelery and custom projects for Birthdays, Weddings and just about any occasion. I try to find the latest designs and incorporate my own style. Pictures of the tree of life and other image work are listed below. The Calla Lily is one of the most popular and versatile pieces and can be used on a number of colors. Visit my Etsy , Ruby Lane or Artfire Shops to see a variety of different pieces using this wonderful imagery.
I remember (many years ago) as a kid looking forward to Valentine's day at school when we would pass out those little colorful Valentines in a thin white paper envelop or sometimes with no envelop at all. The excitement of how many or :( how few you might get. When you got a large one that was really exciting. The frenzy those little candy message hearts and the simple things! I know a lot of people look at Valentine's Day as another Hallmark holiday but I remember the good old days fondly and it's just a nice way of breaking up the cold winter days, adding some color and just celebrating doing something nice for that special someone of your family. With the economy and things being so tight, make some cookies or cupcakes and decorate them with your kids or grand kids. Make a special meal or just have fun and brighten your spirits.
Val of ECDesigns on Etsy has taken two of my pendants and made the most beautiful necklaces with them. The colors are magnificent and she has really captured the essence of the Dichroic and magically transformed it. Thanks Val for making such wonderful creations with my pendants.
I just finished a New Series of Purple Hearts that are almost good enough to eat. The colors mixed with Pink, Blue and other variations are for the true Purple Lover and the pictures only tell half of the story.
I have recently purchased lots of new glass with different designs and colors and will have quite a few new items in the coming weeks. The summer has flown by and I can't believe it's almost over. I am having fun creating and experimenting with new things. There is so much material and media becoming available in the glass fusing art that it boggles the mind. I'm also bringing back some of my most popular designs and finally introducing a few new things that have been in different stages of production for a year or more! I look forward to sharing them with you and hearing your feedback!
As always working with glass is a roller coaster. Developing new designs, bringing them to fruition and seeing them sell is always so exciting. In this new economy it's also so challenging. I haven't signed up for any new shows this year but hopefully I will soon have some new beads once I order my new torch. I'll keep posting and listing and if you have a special request please let me know.
